DD243 : 2002

The ACPO Security Systems Policy 2000 left the professional alarm installer with a lot to think about. The eagerly awaited DD243:2002 document has clarified for installers how the ACPO policy can be complied with in practice, but has also raised many questions of it's own.

This simple guide is intended to provide assistance to any company looking for straight forward solutions to this complex issue. The statements made and solutions offered are purely written as the opinions of Pyronix Limited. This guide should be read in conjunction with the DD243:2002 document and should not be considered a commentary of, or a replacement to, the DD243 document itself.
Whilst the policy allows for confirmation using Visual, Audio or Sequential techniques this guide will focus purely on the issues raised when using sequential confirmation technology. It is anticipated that sequential confirmation will be the most common approach used but that at the same time this will be the technique that raises the most questions!
