The PCX 256 is designed to meet EN50131-1 / PD662 Grade 3 and is ideal for commercial and industrail installations. The contemporary blue backlit LCD keypad is a welcome add-on to any environment.

Features	Description
Simple to install, simple to use	The intelligent arming feature of the PCX-256 is invaluable in its simplicity. The end user arms the system and the system will automatically transfer to a full arm if the user continues to exit through the specified exit door, or will part arm if the user does not leave through the exit door. As all keypads have in-built Proximity readers, the end user can easily arm / disarm their system in the traditional way by entering their PIN code in the Keypad or by presenting their Proximity tag, thus minimising the risk of false alarm activations.
SMS messaging	By simply slotting in a Digi Modem Card, SMS messaging can be enabled. In the event of an alarm activation an immediate SMS message will be sent to the user and / or keyholders detailing site and zone names. For commercial and industrial applications, Contact ID and Fast Format protocols will signal an Alarm Receiving Centre if an intrusion occurs.
Save time, Save money	The PCX-256 has a partitioning option meaning that they can operate as 14 fully independent partition systems. Each system can have its own individual keypads, zones, user codes and timers and can be divided into sub-partitions enabling you huge savings on installation time and equipment when designing systems for flats, shops or industrial units. The partitions on the PCX-256 can be remotely armed / disarmed and the outputs can be switched remotely. The Automatic Remote Maintenance (ARM) software provides a fully automated solution to remote servicing. With the use of ARM software, you will only be required to conduct one on-site service each year, instead every 6 months offering a major cost saving.
Ensuring peak performance	All the PCX calibrated diagnostics can be read at the keypad or accessed locally and remotely via the UDL software. The diagnostics show all the zone resistances for the end station, all remote zone expanders and keypad zones. The end station voltage and current reading may be read and this also includes any intelligent remote power supplies which are connected via the PCX 485 bus. All the PCX’s calibrated diagnostics can be read at the keypad. These on-board diagnostics show all the input resistances, voltage and current readings across the entire system.
