Patented Anti Masking Technology

If your concern is for the protection of the detector when the system is unset you need look no further than Pyronix' unique TMD. Pyronix patented technology offers the ultimate in masking detection. Unlike other detectors on the market, the TMD boasts mask protection on both the PIR and Microwave technologies. This means the detector is suitable for use in high risk environments and meets EN50131-1 Grade 3 as part of a PD6662 installation.

AntiMasking BubbleThe TMD 15™ projects a protective microwave bubble around itself. If this anti mask bubble is breeched and any of the detectors technologies are masked the TMD 15™ will go into a mask condition.

No matter what substance is used to mask; paper, sprays, lacquers, cellotape, cardboard boxes, the TMD 15™ will not allow the system to set until the mask is removed and the detector reset.

Anti Blocking Technology (patent pending)

In a busy environment, anything from office furniture to boxes in a warehouse may obstruct a detector's field of view, shielding any intruder from detection and putting valuables at risk. The detector's high security mode provides blocking detection when the system is in day mode, producing the ultimate protection against accidental or deliberate blocking.

Scenario 1:
The detector's field of view is clear, the panel can be armed.

Scenario 2:
The detector's field of view is blocked, the panel cannot be armed until the blockage is removed.

TMD (Two Movement Detectors) or TriCover™

The TMD 15™ provides the simple solution to sequential confirmation when in TMD mode by operating as 2 independent detectors in 1 housing with non-overlapping fields of view and separate relay outputs.

If, however, your alarm system is to be placed in a hostile environment such as on a factory floor, the TMD 15™ has another trick up it's sleeve...

Simply by moving a switch on the PCB, the TMD 15™ can be expanded from a sequential confirmation detector to a triple coverage detector with the unrivalled TriCover™ Mode.

Once in TriCover™ Mode Triple coverage ensures that an alarm will not occur unless all 3 detector fields are activated in a particular sequence, offering unparalleled stability in the elimination of false alarm activations.
