INTRODUCING: VIDEO VERIFICATION.
DETECT. NOTIFY. VERIFY.

Streamlining activations and footage, Video Verification bridges the gap between assuming and knowing. Building on the total control ProControl+ already provides, Video Verification is an automated process which immediately visualises the event to users.

SDHC CARD

Each camera required for video verification must be fitted with an SDHC card, as each camera is continuously recording. In the event of an alarm activation, ProControl+ then summons a clip that matches the time of the alarm.

Card type

The SDHC card used can be of any size as long as the writing speed is 10MB/s, which means it must be a minimum Class 10, U1 or V10.

Card size

Any memory size can be used with the cameras, however a 128GB card which will record at high definition for 7 days is recommended. The size of the SDHC card determines the length of time the camera can record before it starts to overwrite the previous recording.

A tool to calculate the record time can be downloaded by clicking the following link which redirects to the Hikvision website: Storage and Network Calculator

Installation

Please refer to the installation manual provided with each camera for the SD card slot location.

CAMERA SET-UP

Every camera with the latest firmware should already have the correct settings required as default, however, it is always better to make sure!

Critical settings

TIME ZONE

In order for Video Verification to work correctly, the time on the camera must in sync with the time on the control panel.

Make sure to have the latest firmware from the Pyronix website so that the Wi-Fi camera synchronizes the time with the same server as the PyronixCloud.

Pyronix.com Camera Firmware Page

The settings can be checked if necessary when logged in to the camera via a web browser in the following menu screen.

  • Configuration > System Settings > Time Settings

STORAGE MANAGEMENT

The recording method for each day must be set to 'continuous'.

  • Configuration > Storage > Schedule Settings > Record Schedule

The SD card must be correctly formatted.

  • Configuration > Storage > Storage Management > HDD Management

Optional settings

OSD CAMERA ALIAS

  • Configuration > Image > OSD Settings

RECORD SETTINGS

Stream recording quality; the higher the recording quality chosen, the less recording time will be available.

  • Configuration > Video/Audio > Video

Please note: There are no specific or right/wrong settings that need to be selected here. However bear in mind, the higher the recording quality chosen, the less recording time will be available on the device memory.

LINKING INPUTS & CAMERAS

To ensure ProControl+ receives a clip from the correct camera, alarm inputs and cameras are linked in PyronixCloud. This ensures that the clip sent is from the camera recording the same area as the input triggered.

Adding cameras

  1. Log into a PyronixCloud account.
  2. Select the control panel that is be programmed.
  3. Click the camera icon.
  4. Enter the 'Camera ID', camera password and an alias of how it will appear on PyronixCloud then click 'Add'.

Input association

  1. Switch from the 'Adding Camera' to the 'Input Association' tab.

  1. Select the input to link to a camera.
  2. Select the camera that wlll send the footage if the selected input is triggered.
  3. Click 'Add Selection'.

USER SELECTION

ProControl+ users that have access to the system will not automatically receive video verification. Only users selected in PyronixCloud will receive clips. This allows for better flexibility as some users may only want verification of specific events, whilst others may want verification of all events available.

Quick steps

  1. Log into a PyronixCloud account.
  2. Select the user whose notifications are to be edited by clicking either 'enabled' or 'disabled' under the notifications section of that user.
  3. Select 'Advanced' next to required category and tick the box(es) in the 'Video' column of the events.
  4. Select 'Save' at the bottom of the list.
  5. User will now receive video when that event occurs.
