Sealed Optics | 密封光学

Protects from possible infestation from insects, shields air movement in front of the pyro-electric sensor and protects against adverse reflections from inside the detector housing.

Security Frequency Range | 安全频率范围

These frequency ranges are issued by the Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Postal Services (RegTP) for the security area – on these frequencies any interference to the radio signals by cordless headphones, cell phones, garage door openers etc. is practically ruled out.

Seismic Sensor | 振动探测器

A sensor that detects vibrations generated by a person walking or digging in its area of sensitivity.

Selectable EOL Resistors | 可选线尾电阻

This mean that the detectors incorporates various alarm resitor values, as well as tamper and mask values (mask is dependent on the detector) to cater for DEOL and 3EOL wiring without the need for physical resistors to be wired in to the detector.

Self-Aware Sensors | 自我感知传感器

The sensor will tell the control panel when it has low battery, is in fault, or has failed supervision. The sensors provide the information to the control panel to ensure it stays safe and secure.

Set & Unset | 布防&撤防

These are the two states that areas or levels of an alarm panel can be in. When an area or level is set, if an input is triggered, the alarm panel will follow the appropriate (programmable) actions. When an area or level is unset, the panel will not react unless programmed specifically to do so.

The words set and unset have the same meaning as armed and disarmed; the words are interchangeable.

Set | 布防

The act of turning your security system on, so that it is ready to detect an alarm event.

Short Circuit | 短路

A short circuit (sometimes abbreviated to short) is an electrical circuit that allows a current to travel along an unintended path with no or a very low electrical impedance.

Shunt | 分流

To remove a portion of an alarm system from operation to allow entry into a previously protected area without initiating an alarm signal.

Shunt Input | 分流输入

This is an input on the panel that will shunt out a group of programmed inputs.

Signal Strength Indicators (SSI) | 信号强度提示器

Signal Strength Indicators (SSI) in all Pyronix wireless devices allow the positioning of devices during installation, without the need to refer back to the panel.

Silent Alarm | 无声报警

For this type of alarm there is no audible indication that the security system is in alarm condition howver, the alarm panel would signal through to an ARC. This would typically be used when the intention is to not alert the intruders that they have been detected, but notify the authorities.

Siren | 警铃

Device that produces an audible alert when triggered by the security system.

Smart Device | 智能设备

An electronic device, such as a phone or tablet, that is generally connected to other devices or networks via different protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular networks, etc.

Smoke Detector | 烟雾探测器

An electronic device that senses the presence of smoke and sends a smoke alarm signal to the control panel.

Speaker | 扬声器

Purely audible device that works either indoor or outdoor with intruder alarm, triggered by AC.

Speech Dialler | 语音拨号器

A speech dialler can send out alarm voice messages after an activation to an input, all of which are programmable. The diallers may also be used as a normal telephone if required. Speech diallers are not considered part of the alarm system therefore do not affet the grading of the system.

Star Wiring | 星型接线法

Star networks are one of the most common wiring methods. In its simplest form, a star network consists of one central hub (in intruder alarms it would be the alarm panel itself) which acts as a conduit to transmit messages. In a true star configuration, every device is connected to the control panel. In most installations, each 'limb' departing the panel will have numerous devices wired to it. Even though this is not a true star network, it will still function correctly.

Status LED Indication | LED状态指示灯

These indicate the technologies as they detect, with green indicating the PIR, orange indicating the microwave and blue indicating an alarm activation. If the detector has a second PIR this will be indicated as red.

Status Query | 状态查询

Query sent to alarm panel concerning system status (e.g. by pushing a button on radio remote control).

Strobe | 闪光灯

The flashing light in a warning device is referred to as a 'Strobe'. The strobe in these devices are triggered by an output on the panel that is programmed up as the output 'Strobe'.

Sub-Area | 子系统

An alarm system can be split up into subareas, with each one functioning like a separate alarm system.
