Assembly Operator (Solder)

Main purpose of the job
The position is for an assembly operative in our hand assembly and test department that inspect and hand solder leaded components into boards that are post flow this combined with a 100% functional test of the board afterwards making sure that the boards are fit for purpose to go to the next stage of our build process.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Keen eye to detail, inspection of boards to check for missing components, orientation, incorrect parts and solder shorts.
• Able to solder leaded parts to IPC standard after the given training period.
• Quality conscious and work to strict guidelines.
• Have the ability to follow instructions i.e. placement drawings and test instructions.
• Work to given targets.
• Able to work a rotating shift pattern.
• Flexible if overtime is required.
• Adhere to company policies.
