Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Embedded Software Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Pyronix in the South Yorkshire Doncaster office.

We are a very strong and successful designer and manufacturer of quality security products. The selected applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of Pyronix branded products and also the design and development of new products.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED

Essential

• Excellent C Skills
• Experience of 8,16 or 32 bit micro controllers down to the peripheral register level
• Good understanding of electronics
• Experience in using In Circuit Emulation, debug monitors or simulators during the design process
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and other test equipment
• Strong analytical and problems solving skills
• Good spoken and written English skills

Desirable

• Experience in the full development life cycle of high volume electronic products
• Experience of source code control systems
• Be confidence at working down to the hardware level throughout the design process
• Exposure to low poer wireless system, proprietary or standard, such as Zigbee, Bluetooth, Z-Wave
• Design, test and validation of wireless systems, products or protocols
• Low power battery operated design
