Main purpose of the job

This is a unique opportunity for an individual interested in a career in IT and Data.  Pyronix are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work alongside the IT department and the Data Team.  As part of the IT department, you will provide effective 1st line support across all aspects of the business and on occasions provide backup and assistance to other members of the department.  The position is responsible for supporting our end users who will be working both within office environments and remote.  Working as part of the Data Team you will be responsible for maintaining the quality of Master Data within the Pyronix’s ERP system and additional system’s used by Pyronix locally or company-wide.  Additional duties will involve weekly and monthly reports, implementation of system improvements and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance and awareness.




  • 1st Line SupportInvestigating technical issues on site either face to face, via phone or e-mail
  • Issues will need to be fixed or reported quickly and professionally and where necessary escalated to 2nd line support
  • Providing a positive and professional level of customer service
  • Setup and installation of new equipment – desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices
  • Ensuring best security practices are applied to end user devices and providing helpful advice on this to end users where required
  • Security Audits across IT services
  • Ensuring all registers for equipment, software and users are maintained
  • Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware / software
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register

Data Team

  • Input and maintain Master Data accurately
  • Support the generation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Work alongside the Data Analyst to complete GDPR Audits and GDPR Awareness Presentations
  • Working alongside the Data Team to manage Data Subject Requests
  • Work alongside key business personnel to identify areas of improvement and creating Standard Operating Systems (SOPs)
  • Routine housekeeping ensuring master data is kept accurate and up-to-date
  • Troubleshooting software issues such as SAP and Microsoft Office



  • Experience working as part of a team preferable on a helpdesk
  • Knowledge and Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Applications
  • Experience in working as part of a team and can contribute ideas and express themselves
  • Driven and capable individual with a high work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate to internal Pyronix staff providing a high level of customer services with a courteous, helpful and proactive nature
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Disciplined and well organised
  • Strong Data integrity skills


  • Experience working as an IT Helpdesk Support Engineer
  • Proven track record of meeting company SLA and internal KPI’s
  • Career aspiration in IT or Data with a eagerness to study towards a recognised certification
  • An understanding of Active Directory and Group Policies
  • An understanding Networking, connectivity, routers, switches and firewalls
