MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB 

To provide the tools and direction for product marketing in identifying the USP’s, market intelligence, product messaging and positioning to enable the sales teams to sell effectively and support the growth of the business.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Working with various departments in the business (Marketing, Product Management, Sales) to ensure that the messaging, positioning and value proposition for products is defined in a way that is simple for customers to understand, whilst being innovative and creative in the story that we create for the products. Through competitive analysis, you will find where our products fit in the market, and prepare documentation (PPTs, Sales Manuals, product specifications) which align with the product marketing messaging and strategy.

CONTEXT 

You will be key in translating the specification of the product from Product Managers, to a coherent product marketing message which will form the foundation for how we promote products globally. You will be guiding internal and external stakeholders through the story of the product, taking the message to the market and allowing the sales teams in relevant regions to successfully sell our products to our customers.

You will own the product marketing message for the portfolio of products – new and existing – and be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of such.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED 

Essential

  • Deep understanding of the global Security Industry
  • Being flexible and open to change
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Excellent use of computer software (particularly Microsoft)
  • Good level of presenting skills and ability to present marketing concepts in a way which translates to sales tactics

Desirable

  • Marketing background and experience
  • Adobe Creative Cloud experience

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS 

  1. Internal within the Company

Marketing Department – you will be working closely with others in the department to ensure communication of the messaging, concepts, features and USP’s of a product facilitate production of coherent marketing and product launch materials.

Product management – understanding the product roadmap and the key features of the product within the portfolio.

  1. External to the company

Distributors, regional sales – transmitting the marketing message throughout distributors and regional sales colleagues to ensure the message is delivered and presented in a way that can be understood and replicated by them to increase sales.
