Project Manager

The purpose of the role is to plan, organise and manage projects within the Pyronix business, specifically New Product Introduction projects.

Line Manager for a number of developers both hardware and software.

Principal Accountabilities

• To produce a plan in Microsoft Project for all NPI projects.
• Regularly update the project plans of all current projects and report to the Product Development Manager using RAG system on the progress of the projects.
• Prepare Tollgate documentation for each tollgate. Ensure that this information is supplied by others when necessary.
• Complete tollgate sign off documentation.
• Present projects at tollgate meetings for sign off and progression to the next stage.
• Co-ordinate the activities, tasks and responsibilities of all relevant personnel by liaising directly with line management and individuals as necessary.
• Obtaining component samples and liaising on their usability with the Hardware Department.
• Responsible for the inputting on the on-line system, e.g. prices, BoMS, design changes and any other updates.
• To co-ordinate and make sure all information and equipment needed to take a product from development through to production is supplied throughout the development process.
• Liaise with, and co-ordinate activities of outside sub-contractors and suppliers as required.
• Liaise with Manufacturing on transfer of new products from development into manufacture.
• Produce Annual contribution agreements for direct reports.
• Understand, map and develop relevant new systems and processes.
• Manage ongoing projects, primarily within the R&D team.
• Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure projects are managed effectively and information/content are accurate.
