R&D New Product Engineer

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Provide high quality, professional and responsive technical skills to the R&D Hardware team.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) (Hardware Admin / Design Change process)
• Data management (PLM / SAP)
• Create, manage and administer departmental process documentation
• Technical support to the R&D Hardware Team
• Interact with the manufacturing (Pyronix / HIKVision / TRI-T) facilities relating to component, hardware and systems questions

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS NEEDED

Essential

• A relevant hardware/software qualification (Degree, HND, HNC)
• Strong problem solving capability
• Create good working relationships within R&D and the other departments
• Ability to work to tight timescales and deadlines
• Practical aptitude.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

Desirable

• Understanding of general electronic principles
• Ability to follow Work Instructions and provide feedback
• Able to devise, understand and execute activity plans and schedules
