The job:

The Pyronix GL assistant accountants’ function will be divided into two support branches. The areas of support are:
1) The manufacture and sales
2) The operations and overheads

They must follow generally accepted financial and payroll principals to ensure the accuracy of the management information and the payroll for Pyronix.

 

Key responsibilities:

Manufacturing and Sales

  • General ledger financial journals for month end accounts preparation
  • Monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Weekly reporting for manufacture i.e.: WIP / Labour booked
  • Daily & Weekly reporting for sales i.e.: Sales / Rebates
  • Maintenance of master data files, used by AP team and GL team, for preparation of monthly accounts
  • Assisting the production of, and audit of, the annual accounts
  • Provide cover for Daily service income query resolution
  • Monthly valuation of customer return scrap
  • Monthly Tax analysis.
  • Providing cover for the Foreign Currency, Petty Cash and Bank accounts
  • Expenses processing
  • Credit card review and reconciliation
  • Daily checking and approvals of OA’s
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Operations and Overheads

  • General ledger financial journals for month end accounts preparation

  • Monthly & Adhoc reporting of overhead spend.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the T&A system
  • Assisting the production of, and audit of, the annual accounts
  • Daily service income query resolution
  • Monthly Tax analysis.
  • Foreign Currency, Petty Cash and Bank accounts
  • Expenses processing
  • Credit card review and reconciliation
  • Daily checking and approvals of OA’s
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Experience needed:

Essential

  • Experience of finance systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • High levels of accuracy
  • Ability to work confidentially
  • Advanced query resolution
  • Strong Excel skills

Desirable

  • Experience of payroll systems
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Finance qualification
  • Ability to create, analyse and develop reports
  • Exposure to a manufacturing background
